VERT is an open-source file conversion utility designed for local processing using WebAssembly, ensuring files are converted directly on your device for enhanced privacy. Built with Svelte and TypeScript, it offers a user-friendly interface and supports multiple file formats with no size limits. While non-local video conversion is available via the official instance at vert.sh, users can self-host the daemon for full local functionality. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install Vert on your Synology NAS using Docker and Portainer.
