How to Install GoMFT on Your Synology NAS

GoMFT is a powerful, web-based managed file transfer application built with Go, designed to simplify and streamline file transfers across various storage providers. Leveraging the robust capabilities of rclone, GoMFT offers a modern, user-friendly interface for configuring, scheduling, and monitoring file transfers with ease. It supports a wide range of storage options, including local filesystems, Amazon S3, MinIO, Backblaze B2, SFTP, FTP, and SMB/CIFS shares, enabling seamless local-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud transfers. Key features include real-time transfer monitoring with detailed logs, flexible scheduling using cron expressions, and dynamic file pattern matching for precise control over transfers. GoMFT also prioritizes security with role-based access control, JWT-based authentication, and secure password management using bcrypt. Built with Templ, HTMX, and Tailwind CSS, it delivers a responsive and intuitive experience, making it an ideal self-hosted solution for both personal backups and enterprise-grade file management needs. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install GoMFT on your Synology NAS using Docker & Portainer.

🟢Please Support My work by Making a Donation. Almost 99,9% of the people that install something using my guides forget to support my work, or just ignore STEP 1. I’ve been very honest about this aspect of my work since the beginning: I don’t run any ADS, I don’t require subscriptions, paid or otherwise, I don’t collect IPs, emails, and I don’t have any referral links from Amazon or other merchants. I also don’t have any POP-UPs or COOKIES. I have repeatedly been told over the years how much I have contributed to the community. It’s something I love doing and have been honest about my passion since the beginning. But I also Need The Community to Support me Back to be able to continue doing this work.
