Geoposler Is a Dockerized email campaign management application that allows users to create templates, manage contact lists, and send HTML-based emails via SMTP. It includes features to simplify email marketing campaigns and integrates seamlessly with a MySQL database for managing data. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install GeoposlerĀ on your Synology NAS using Docker & Portainer.

InstallĀ Portainer using my step by step guide. If you already have Portainer installed on your Synology NAS, skip this STEP. Attention: Make sure you have installed the latest Portainer version.
STEP 3
Go toĀ File Station and open the docker folder. Inside the docker folder, create one new folder and name it geoposlerdb. Follow the instructions in the image below.
Note: Be careful to enter only lowercase, not uppercase letters.
STEP 4
Follow my step by step guide on how to activate SMTP for your Gmail account. This step is mandatory. Note: If you don’t want to use the easiest way for SMTP with Google and you already have SMTP details from your own Mail Server, you can just skip this STEP and use your personalized email SMTP details instead.
STEP 5
Log into Portainer using your username and password. On the left sidebar in Portainer, click on StacksĀ thenĀ + Add stack. Follow the instructions in the image below.
STEP 6
In the Name field type in geoposler. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Note: Before you paste the code above in the Web editor area below, change the value for DB_PASSWORDĀ and MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD. Type in your own password for both values; they have to be identical. mariushosting is an example for a password. ā ļøWarning: Do NOT use a password with special characters that include the dollar symbol $.
STEP 7
Scroll down on the page until you see a button namedĀ Deploy the stack. Click on it. Follow the instructions in the image below. The installation process can take up to a few minutes. It will depend on your Internet speed connection.
STEP 8
If everything goes right, you will see the following message at the top right of your screen: āSuccess Stack successfully deployedā.

STEP 10
The installation process can take up to a few seconds/minutes. It will depend on your Internet speed connection. Now open your browser and type in http://Synology-ip-address:3454 Click the Settings tab and adjust your SMTP details (STEP 4). Follow the instructions in the image below.
Add the details below.
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port: 587
Username: Type in your own Gmail address. / STEP 4
Password: Type in your own Gmail App Password / STEP 4
From Email: Type in your own Gmail address.
From Name: Type in your own name.
Click Save Settings.
STEP 11
Click the Contacts tab. Create a New List. Give a name to the list, add your contacts in the apposite form and remember to respect the following format name;email. Click Save List. Follow the instructions in the image below.
STEP 12
Click the Campaigns tab. Follow the instructions in the image below.
STEP 13
Create New Campaign, then click Create Campaign. Follow the instructions in the image below.
STEP 14
Click the send icon to send an email to your Contact List. Follow the instructions in the image below.
STEP 15
Your campaign email is now completed. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Your Campaign email has successfully reached the Contact List.
