How to Install CommaFeed on Your Synology NAS

How to Install CommaFeed on Your Synology NAS

CommaFeed is a free and open source feed reader which can be self hosted on a web server, like FreshRSS. It draws inspiration from Google Reader and is built using Dropwizard along with React/TypeScript. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install CommaFeed on your Synology NAS using Docker & Portainer.

💡Note: This guide works perfectly with CommaFeed v4.6.0 release.

⚠️Warning: Due to an outdated Synology Linux Kernel and Docker Engine, CommaFeed will work only with version 4.6.0 on a Synology NAS, but not the latest CommaFeed version 5 – If you want to use the latest version of CommaFeed 5, you should have a UGREEN NAS.

💡Note: Check out my new guide on how to Install the Latest CommaFeed 5 on Your UGREEN NAS.
