How to Install Webtrees on Your Synology NAS

How to Install Webtrees on Your Synology NAS

Webtrees is a free open source web application that allows you to publish your genealogy online, collaborate with family members and take control of your data. It works from standard GEDCOM files, and is therefore compatible with every major desktop application; and it aims to be efficient and effective by using the right combination of third-party tools, design techniques and open standards. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install Webtrees on your Synology NAS using Docker and Portainer.

💡Note: This guide works perfectly with the latest Webtrees v2.1.20 release.
