How to Install FacturaScripts on Your Synology NAS

FacturaScripts is an accounting and billing program that you can install on your PC, hosting or in your Synology NAS. With it you can manage the day to day of your company: create invoices, orders, delivery notes, estimates, accounting, inventory etc. So, whether you are a freelancer or an SME, don’t hesitate and try FacturaScripts which is totally free. It won’t take you more than a few minutes to discover that it has everything you need for your business. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install FacturaScripts on your Synology NAS using Docker & Portainer.

STEP 2

Install Portainer using my step by step guide. If you already have Portainer installed on your Synology NAS, skip this STEP. Attention: Make sure you have installed the latest Portainer version.

STEP 3

Go to File Station and open the docker folder. Inside the docker folder, create two new folders and name the, facturascripts and facturascriptsdb. Follow the instructions in the image below.
Note: Be careful to enter only lowercase, not uppercase letters.

STEP 4

Log into Portainer using your username and password. On the left sidebar in Portainer, click on Stacks then + Add stack. Follow the instructions in the image below.

STEP 5

In the Name field type in facturascripts. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Note: Copy Paste the code below in the Portainer Stacks Web editor.

Note: Before you paste the code above in the Web editor area, change the value for MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD and add your own password. mariushosting is an example for a password. You have to insert your own password.

STEP 6

Scroll down on the page until you see a button called Deploy the stack. Click on it. Follow the instructions in the image below. The installation process can take up to a few minutes. It will depend on your Internet speed connection.

STEP 7

If everything goes right, you will see this message at the top right of your screen: “Stack successfully deployed“.

STEP 8

Go back to STEP 1 or you will deal with karma 🙂.

STEP 9

Now open your browser and type in http://Synology-ip-address:5379 Follow the instructions in the image below. Add your own mysql IP Address on the Database Server area. Type in the database mysql password that you have previously created at STEP 5. Select your language, your time zone then click Accept.

You will find your Database Server IP Address in Portainer / Containers / FacturaScripts-DB / IP Address.

STEP 10

Login with the default username and password admin, admin. You can change the default password on STEP 11 below. Follow the instructions in the image below.
