How to Install Copyparty on Your Synology NAS

How to Install Copyparty on Your Synology NAS

Copyparty is a tiny file server that instantly turns any folder into a fast, modern web-based file share. It offers resumable uploads and downloads, even on flaky connections, built-in WebDAV, SFTP, FTP and TFTP support, automatic media indexing with thumbnails, audio/video metadata extraction, full-text search, on-the-fly transcoding, hardlink-based deduplication, flexible user permissions, anonymous upload-only drop folders, and zeroconf discovery, all packed into one small Docker image, making it perfect for quick personal shares, temporary drops, lightweight media libraries or self-hosted file access without installing heavy software. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install CopypartyĀ on your Synology NASĀ using Docker and Portainer.

šŸ’”Note: This guide works perfectly with the latest Copyparty v1.20.12Ā release.

I’ve been very honest about this aspect of my work since the beginning: I don’t run any ADS, I don’t require subscriptions, paid or otherwise, I don’t collect IPs, emails, and I don’t have any referral links from Amazon or other merchants. I also don’t have any POP-UPs or COOKIES. I have repeatedly been told over the years how much I have contributed to the community.
