
Libre Closet is a free, open-source, and self-hosted digital wardrobe organizer that allows users to catalog clothing items, upload and automatically background-remove photos, build outfits, and manage their personal closets through an offline-ready progressive web app on their own server. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install Libre ClosetĀ on your Synology NAS using Docker & Portainer.
This guide works perfectly with the latest Libre Closet v0.5.0 release.
STEP 1

STEP 2
InstallĀ Portainer using my step by step guide. If you already have Portainer installed on your Synology NAS, skip this STEP. Attention: Make sure you have installed the latest Portainer version.
STEP 3
Go toĀ File StationĀ and open the docker folder. Inside the docker folder, create one new folder and name it librecloset. Follow the instructions in the image below.
Note: Be careful to enter only lowercase, not uppercase letters.

STEP 4
Log into Portainer using your username and password. On the left sidebar in Portainer, click on Home then click inside the local rectangle. Follow the instructions in the image below.

On the left sidebar in Portainer, click on StacksĀ thenĀ + Add stack. Follow the instructions in the image below.

STEP 5
In the Name field type in librecloset. Follow the instructions in the image below.

STEP 6
Scroll down on the page until you see a button namedĀ Deploy the stack. Click on it. Follow the instructions in the image below. The installation process can take up to a few minutes. It will depend on your Internet speed connection.

STEP 7
If everything goes right, you will see the following message at the top right of your screen: āSuccess Stack successfully deployedā.

STEP 9
The installation process can take up to a few seconds/minutes. It will depend on your Internet speed connection. Now open your browser and type inĀ http://Synology-ip-address:3730 Click Register. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Create your administrator account. Click Register. Follow the instructions in the image below.

STEP 11
Click Wardrobe. Follow the instructions in the image below.

STEP 12
Click Add your first garment. Follow the instructions in the image below.

STEP 13
Add your clothing item details. Click Save. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Choose your clothing photo. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Click Accept. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Click Add Photo. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Click Wardrobe. Follow the instructions in the image below.
