How to Install Tagr on Your Synology NAS

How to Install Tagr on Your Synology NAS

Tagr is a self-hosted web application that lets you browse, play, and edit the metadata of your music files from any browser. You simply point it at your music folders and get a clean three-panel interface for navigating the library, listening to tracks, and writing tag changes directly back to the audio files. It supports a wide range of formats, offers full change history with the ability to revert edits, includes a waveform-based player with listen tracking, and works smoothly on a NAS. I’ve been running Tagr as my everyday music library companion for a while now. Whenever I add new tracks or notice incomplete tags, I open it in the browser, fix the metadata on the spot, listen through the built-in player, and keep everything consistent without switching to a desktop app. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install Tagr on your Synology NAS using Docker and Dockhand.

šŸ’”Note: This guide works perfectly with the latest Tagr v1.12.0Ā release.

🟢Please Support My work by Making a Donation. Almost 99,9% of the people that install something using my guidesĀ forget to support my work, or justĀ ignoreĀ STEP 1. I’ve been very honest about this aspect of my work since the beginning: I don’t run any ADS, I don’t require subscriptions, paid or otherwise, I don’t collect IPs, emails, and I don’t have any referral links from Amazon or other merchants. I also don’t have any POP-UPs or COOKIES. I have repeatedly been told over the years how much I have contributed to the community. It’s something I love doing and have been honest about my passion since the beginning. But I also Need The Community to Support me Back to be able to continue doing this work.
