Synology How to Activate Reolink Camera Color at Night

Did you know you can activate color vision at night for Reolink cameras by removing the black and white night view? The Reolink RLC-511WA as well as other Reolink camera models come with an Infrared feature providing clear night vision up to a distance of 30 meters. But if you want to, you can deactivate the infrared vision at night and use the color view instead. This can prove to be useful if, for example, your garden, home or street has excellent artificial lighting. In todayā€™s article I will teach you how to activate Reolink camera color vision at night.

Open Synology Surveillance Station and select the Reolink camera for which you want to activate the color vision at night. Right mouse click on the live camera stream then click Edit Camera. Follow the instructions in the image below.

After you click Edit Camera onĀ STEP 2, a new window will open. Click onĀ DeviceĀ /Ā InformationĀ tab / copy theĀ IP addressĀ of the camera. Follow the instructions in the image below.

  • STEP 4

Paste theĀ IP addressĀ of the camera in a new Browser tab. ChooseĀ adminĀ as username and leave blank for password. ClickĀ Login. Follow the instructions in the image below.
Note: If you have changed your username or password sometime in the past, just type them in in the respective fields. The admin username and the blank password are the standard credentials for Reolink cameras.

  • STEP 5

After you log into the Reolink camera, click the Advanced Settings gear icon at the top right of the page. On the DayNight area select color then click Save. Follow the instructions in the image below.
