Synology has released the new MariaDB version 10.11.6-1369 on May 28, 2024. This 10.11 LTS version of MariaDB is a 💚 long time support version that will be supported for the next 4 years until February 16, 2028. The MariaDB version 10.11.6 released by Synology was released by the MariaDB team on November 13, 2023. This is just an upgrade of the previous MariaDB version 10.11.2 released by Synology on October 13, 2023.
- On models with more than 1 GB of RAM, enhanced MariaDB performance by allowing configuration of the InnoDB buffer pool size for better data and index caching. Check the full article on how to Increase the InnoDB buffer pool size.
- Optimized MariaDB performance.
- Removed the “Reset Database” option to ensure package compatibility. For database reset, please uninstall MariaDB 10 in Package Center and install the package again.
- Fixed a security vulnerability (CVE-2022-47015).
- Minor bug fixes.
Before proceeding with the MariaDB 10.11.6 update, I recommend that you make a backup of your current MariaDB database using Hyper Backup or using my guide to manually back up your database.
