Yesterday, March 24, 2022, a new DSM 7.1-42621 RC (Release Candidate) was released to the public. You can update to the RC version from your DSM 7.1-42550 Beta or from your 7.0.1-42218 Update 3. Remember not to use a Release Candidate version in a production environment.
Attention: DSM 7.1 RC version is no longer available. If you want to Install DSM 7.1 you should see: DSM 7.1-42661 Final Release.
Compared to the DSM 7.1-42550 Beta version, only two new points have been added to the changelog:
- To create a new Virtual DSM machine for DSM 7.1, Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) must be updated to version 2.6. Virtual DSM machines running DSM 7.0 or earlier versions can be directly updated to DSM 7.1 without updating VMM.
- Added support for Btrfs (Peta Volume) in Active Backup for Business and Synology High Availability.
