On May 24, 2022, WordPress 6.0 was released to the public. The latest and greatest version of WordPress is WordPress 6.0 code name “Arturo” and it’s in honor of Arturo O’Farrill a jazz musician, the son of Latin jazz musician, arranger and bandleader Chico O’Farrill, and pianist, composer, and director for the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra. This version is available for “download” from wordpress.org and not in the Synology Package Center. So, if you want to download and install WordPress 6.0 on your Synology NAS, you have to follow my step by step guide on how to manually update a new version of WordPress in your Synology.

I recommend everyone use the official version of WordPress on their NAS until Synology ‘restarts its engine’ in the package upgrading process. WordPress 6.0 It is THE BEST version of WordPress to ever ship out. WordPress 6.0 includes more than 500 enhancements and 400 bug fixes.
