Synology Set Up Email Notifications on EspoCRM

Have you already installed EspoCRM on your Synology NAS? If yes, I have finally come about to writing an article on how to set up Gmail notifications on EspoCRM so you can now enjoy it to its full potential. See the details below.

Install EspoCRM using my Docker Guide. If you already have EspoCRM installed on your Synology NAS, skip this STEP.

  • STEP 3

Follow my step by step guide on how to activate SMTP for your Gmail account.

  • STEP 4

At the top right of the EspoCRM page, click on the vertical dots then Administration. Scroll down the page until you find the Personal Email Accounts option. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Click Personal Email Accounts. Follow the instructions in the image below.

At the top right of the page, click + Create Email Account. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Click the SMTP tab, then add the details below.

On the Host field, type in smtp.gmail.com
On the Security field, select STARTTLS
On the Port field, type in 587
Check Auth.
On the Aut Mechanism field, select LOGIN
On the Username field, type in your own Gmail address. / STEP 3
On the Password field, type in your own Gmail App Password / STEP 3
Click Save.
Click Send Test Email. Follow the instructions in the image below.

Type in an alternative Email Address that you can check. Click Send. Follow the instructions in the image below.
