Easter is less than a week away, but before you set off to your vacation grounds, let me share this piece of news with you: our Synology Facebook group has recently reached 39K members! This is an exciting event and it brings me a lot of joy to share it with you because it shows just how much our community is growing and becoming more of a meeting ground for Synology owners and users. Together, the mariushosting Synology Facebook group and our Synology Discord channel represent two of the biggest online Synology communities. And it’s not just the numbers: the communities are active and their members engaged, offering their support and expertise to all users in need of them.
Seeing the Facebook group, and Discord channel too, buzzing with engagement and filling up with content that opens up the most diverse of conversations and touches on topics of active interest to Syno users makes me particularly happy. There was a point in time not long ago when I too was a new Synology owner looking for all sorts of info on Synology devices and could barely find anything. Now there are two excellent communities available online for Syno users to get solutions and fixes for the issues they are dealing with in real time, advice and opinions on specific use-case scenarios, and connect with their fellow Sysadmins. I want to extend a big thank you to everyone in our Synology Facebook group, and Discord channel too, and tell you how much I appreciate you being a part of our community. To further show my support and bring my contribution to our community, I have also updated over 50 Docker containers in the past four weeks.
