Silo Server is a self-hosted media streaming server for movies, shows, music, and books. Point it at your media folders and stream to devices at home or away, with automatic direct play, remuxing, and hardware-accelerated transcoding. It includes a full web client and admin interface, supports multiple household profiles with parental controls, uses plugin-based metadata providers, and offers optional Jellyfin/Emby-compatible APIs so existing clients work alongside its own apps. Deployment is designed around a single Docker Compose command. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install Silo Server With Hardware Transcoding on your UGREEN NAS using Docker & Portainer.
This guide works perfectly with the latest Silo Server Main TAG release.
