Rackula is a free, open-source web application that serves as a drag-and-drop rack visualizer for planning and designing server rack layouts. It’s particularly popular among homelab enthusiasts, self-hosters, and data center planners. The app runs entirely in the browser, allowing users to drag real device images (compatible with NetBox’s devicetype-library) from a library into virtual racks, rearrange equipment easily, and visualize accurate rack elevations with proper scaling. It supports exporting layouts to PNG, PDF, or SVG formats and sharing designs via QR codes and shareable URLs. Built with TypeScript and Svelte, Rackula is lightweight, requires no server-side persistence. In this step by step guide I will show you how to install RackulaĀ on your UGREEN NAS using Docker & Portainer.
This guide works perfectly with the latest Rackula v0.7.7Ā release.

Iāve been very honest about this aspect of my work since the beginning: I donāt run any ADS, I donāt require subscriptions, paid or otherwise, I donāt collect IPs, emails, and I donāt have any referral links from Amazon or other merchants. I also donāt have any POP-UPs or COOKIES. I have repeatedly been told over the years how much I have contributed to the community. Itās something I love doing and have been honest about my passion since the beginning. But I also Need The Community to Support me Back to be able to continue doing this work.
