Yesterday Synology released a new Hyper Backup Version 2.2.7-1374 after they found and fixed a security vulnerability. Hyper Backup helps you back up data and LUNs, and retains multiple data backup versions to keep important information handy and easy to track. Hyper Backup also makes restoring data and LUNs simple and straightforward. If the update is available in your country, it should also be available for automatic download in your DSM Package Center in the next days/weeks.
To manually update Hyper Backup and Hyper Backup Vault on your Synology NAS, just download the files in the links below, then open Package Center and, at the top right, click on the Manual Install button. Select your file then update.
Hyper Backup Update Version: 2.2.7-1374 Fixed Issues:
- Enhanced the stability of relinking to avoid relinking failure when the connection is bad.
- Enhanced the retry mechanism when restoring from public cloud services to increase the success rate.
- Enhanced the retry mechanism when backing up to Microsoft Azure or a WebDAV server to avoid backup failures.
- Fixed an issue where the restoration might fail when the path of the restored file includes “@eaDir”.
- Fixed an issue where restoring Synology Moments might fail if the backup version was created in DSM 6.2.3 or earlier versions.
- Fixed an issue where restoring a large number of files from a remote Synology NAS might fail.
- Fixed an issue where backup data on Dropbox might be corrupted.
- Fixed an issue where a backup task might fail when its schedule conflicts with that of Snapshot Replication.
- Fixed multiple security vulnerabilities (Synology-SA-21:18).
Not only has Hyper Backup been updated, but so has the Hyper Backup Vault package.
Hyper Backup Vault Update Version: 2.2.7-1374 Fixed Issues:
