A couple of months ago I shared with you that mariushosting was on Bluesky. We all have a preference for certain social media platforms, whether it’s about the type of community, the quality of the user experience or the interaction model of the platform, so I wished to be present for my NAS friends wherever they liked to spend their time more. And Bluesky was a place for many fellow sysadmins to gather and share their common interests. Since then, our Bluesky community has grown to include 500+ new members. To all 500+ new members on Bluesky: welcome! I’m happy to see you all here and be a part of this new and fresh online community. Thank you all for the support you are offering by being here and I promise to keep you up to date on everything big and small.
When you actively support the content on mariushosting, you help keep the project alive and contribute to its development. I strive to keep mariushosting free of ads, affiliate marketing links and tracking code. I value your privacy and want to offer you the experience of the Internet as it once used to be: high-quality content with fresh and interesting posts, relevant to your interests, and an overall good online experience focused on ease of use and privacy.
It makes me so happy to see the wonderful communities we’ve built on Facebook, Discord, X, and soon on Bluesky as well. It’s in these communities that I’ve met the most wonderful people who share the same passion for Network Attached Storage, web hosting and self-hosted apps. When you find like-minded people with shared interests, equally passionate and dedicated, you find true friends. Thank you to everyone who has joined me on this journey!
