How to Make Synology DSM Icons Bigger

Are your DSM operating system icons too small? Do you find it hard to see them? You should know that Synology has thought of this too. There is a way to enlarge your DSM icons quickly and easily. The Desktop tab provides options to customize the appearance of your DSM desktop. To view this tab, click the person-shaped icon at the upper-right on the desktop and select Personal. Right below you will find step by step instructions to change the size of your desktop icons.

Log in to DSM. Click on the user icon at the top right of the page then click Personal. Follow the instructions in the image below.

After you click Personal at STEP 2 a new window will open. Click on the Display Preferences tab. On the Desktop icon size area choose Normal (64×64) then click Save. Follow the instructions in the image below.

After you click Save at STEP 3 a new pop up window will open. Click Yes. Follow the instructions in the image below.

After you click Save, your DSM desktop icons will be bigger.

Note: If you connect through your mobile phone afterwards, you will see the icons bigger in the DSM mobile version too.
