If you have a Synology NAS connected to a Windows 10 computer, it might be useful to have the Network icon on your Windows 10 desktop visible at all times. The Network icon on desktop is not visible by default. Although it seems trivial, some people may waste hours trying to find the shortcut. Here I come to save the day. Follow this simple step by step guide that I have prepared for you and learn how to display the Network icon in Windows 10.
STEP 1

On your Windows 10 desktop, right click on the mouse button, then click on Personalize. Follow the instructions in the image below:

On the left, click on Themes, then click on Desktop icon settings on the right. Follow the instructions in the image below.
STEP 4
From the window that will open select Network, then OK. Follow the instructions in the image below.
Now the Network icon will magically appear on your Windows 10 desktop. Below, however, I will teach you how to insert the Network icon in the Windows 10 START menu (as a bonus).
STEP 1
Click on START, then right-click on document. An option called “Personalize this list” will appear; click on it. Follow the instructions in the image below:
STEP 2
The window below will open. Select Network “ON” and, after that, close the window.
STEP 3
Enjoy your Network icon in the Windows 10 START menu.
